JVP leader Anura Kumara Dissanayake and former CID Director Shani Abeysekara have filed writ applications to revoke summons on them to appear before the Presidential Commission probing political victimization.

Both of them have been summoned before the commission in connection with a complaint lodged by Avant Garde Chairman Nissanka Senadhipathy.

The Attorney General, on a previous occasion, informed the commission that Senadhipathy’s matter did not come under the commission’s scope as the latter was not a state employee at the time of the investigation.
