A photo-journalist attached to the Ceylon Today newspaper filed a police complaint against former Police Narcotic Bureau (PNB) OIC IP Neomal Rangajeewa for threatening and obstructing his duties at the premises of the Colombo High Court.

Rangajeewa, a suspect out on bail, has reportedly grabbed a journalist who attempted to photograph him at Colombo High Court No. 1 premises.

Rangajeewa has handed over the journalist, who was on duty, to a police post within the court premises.

Many journalists who were at the court this morning witnessed the incident.

Rangajeewa is an officer previously attached to the Police Narcotics Division. He was arrested and remanded in connection with the Welikada prison riots.
