The Government Information Department said 87 more COVID-19 positive cases have reported from the Kandakadu Rehabilitation Centre increasing the total cases at the centre to 340.

The latest COVID19 cluster in Sri Lanka was detected from the Kandakadu Drug Rehabilitation Centre after an inmate at the Welikada Prison was tested positive.

Persons at the Kandakadu Rehabilitation Centre were subjected to PCR testing as an inmate from the Welikada prison, who was at the drug rehabilitation centre before, was tested positive for COVID19.
