The Government Information Department said 56 people within Kandakadu Drug Rehabilitation Centre have tested positive for COVID19.

PCR tests were carried out on persons at the Kandakadu drug rehabilitation centre after an inmate at the Welikada prison was tested positive for COVID19.

Nearly 200 people who had close contacts with the COVID19 patient at the Welikada prison have been quarantined.
