Army Commander Lt. General Shavendra Silva said about 210 contacts of the COVID19 patient from the Welikada prison have been tested negative.

The Army Commander said 310 persons were tested for COVID19 when an inmate from the Welikada prison was tested positive for COVID19.

He also added that the reports of others who have been tested for COVID19 would come out today.

The Army Commander said 196 people, including 7 prison officers, have been sent to quarantine centres. He also said that every person at the Kandakadu Rehabilitation Station would undergo PCR testing.
