The Court of Appeal Court of Appeal has issued an interim order staying the operation of arrest warrants issued by the Colombo Fort Magistrate against former Minister Ravi Karunanayake and six others in connection with the alleged second bonds scam in 2016.

The Fort Magistrate’s Court previously issued warrants for the immediate arrest of Karunanayake and others over the Central Bank Treasury Bond Scam.

The Attorney General ordered the acting IGP to obtain arrest warrants against the suspects for their involvement in the alleged bond scam.
