DIG Ajith Rohana said the Police would take strict action against those who do not wear masks in public.

Speaking to the media, Rohana said it is mandatory to wear face masks in public as per the instructions given by health authorities.

He said the Police would take legal action against those who fail to adhere to health and safety practices announced by the Ministry of Health.

Meanwhile, movie theatres that remained close since mid-March have been reopened with strict health and safety measures.
