A soldier (22), attached to Polhengoda Army Camp has committed suicide using his official weapon, the Army said.

The circumstances leading to his suicide are still being probed.

Meanwhile, suspect who was in the custody of the Narahenpita police station has committed suicide by hanging himself inside the cell.
