Former Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage said even members of his party received money from Perpetual Treasuries owner Arjun Aloysius.

In an interview with a private TV channel, Aluthgamage said everyone, including the members of the Rajapaksa family, was aware of these transactions.

"Those who received money from Aloysius will have to answer. The former IGP was sitting on this matter for a long time. Now, we have instructed the CID to proceed with these investigations," he added.

Aluthgamage said everyone, including former Prime Minister Ranll Wickremesinghe, would be investigated for the bond scam.

"Some of them telephoned Aloysius while being on the COPE and some went on to write books. Some were benefitted from his liquor business," he added.

"If we don't investigate the bond scam, we won't be able to walk on the streets," Aluthgamage said
