A final decision on the GCE A/Level examination will be made when the schools are reopened, Education Ministry Secretary N.M.M. Chithrananda said.
As a result of the two-month lockdown, A/L students have lost approximately 300 hours of school time, the Education Ministry said.
The new date to open schools is yet to be announced.
As a first step in this direction, the Ministry has instructed school principals to conduct 'shramadana' programmes in schools to clean up dengue breeding places.
However, the Ministry said these initiatives would happen completely on a voluntary basis.
The Ministry Secretary confirmed that the ministry will take every possible measure to ensure that A/L students do not face any injustice.
