Public transport services will operate as usual from tomorrow onwards, Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said a short while ago.

Amaraweera said public transport services would operate with stringent health and safety practices and measure have already been taken to ensure that there is no shortage of buses.

President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa is expected to meet transport authorities tomorrow to discuss the matter further.

Although the curfew was relaxed earlier this month to allow people to report to work, public transport was not made available for the public.
