A mock election is currently being held in Ambalangoda as a way of preparation to conduct the upcoming Parliamentary election according to the new health and safety standards.

Nearly 200 people have been invited to take part in the election which is being held at Wilegoda, Dhammayukthikarama Temple in Ambalangoda.

Social distancing practices and other health standards are adopted at this mock election which being conducted under the supervision of Elections Commission Chairman Mahinda Deshapriya.

The Commission is expected to announce the new election date tomorrow.
