No new COVID19 cases were reported in Sri Lanka at 7.30 PM on Friday, health officials confirmed.
There are currently 439 active cases while 477 people have recovered and been discharged from hospital.
Yesterday, 1, 489 PCR tests were conducted and ten cases were confirmed.
The government has, however, imposed an islandwide curfew on Sunday as a measure to prevent the movement of people.
Health authorities express confidence that the spread of the disease has been controlled in the country to a great degree. However, Sri Lanka is still far away from fully relaxing lockdown measures.
