Former Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera has been summoned to the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) this afternoon.
Samaraweera is expected to be questioned on authorizing financing to take 12,500 displaced Muslims from Puttalam to Mannar for voting at the presidential election.
Samaraweera had allegedly authorised to pay the SLTB depot to provide transportation to these displaced persons in Puttalam to cast their votes.
Former Minister and ACMC Leader Rishad Bathiudeen has also been questioned by the CID over the same investigation.
