The Criminal Investigations Department has been ordered by the Colombo Chief Magistrates' Court to produce former Health Minister Dr Rajitha Senaratne in court.

The order follows a ruling by the Colombo High Court this morning quashing the order to release Senaratne on bail earlier this year over the contorversial white van press conference.

The Attorney General filed a revision application against the Chief Magistrate's order to release Senaratne on bail over the controversial white van press conference last year.

The former Minister is set to contest the upcoming Parliamentary election under the Samagi Jana Balawegaya from the Kalutara district.
