About 1200 persons in the 'B' block of "Meth Sanda Sevana" multi-storey housing scheme, Modara, have been put on self quarantine.

The decision follows the discovery of a COVID19 patient from the housing scheme.

The housing complex has also been declared an isolated area following the latest development.

Accordingly, no one will be allowed to enter or exit the housing complex. The residents will also be subjected to PCR testing.

Health authorities said 986 PCR tests were conducted yesterday.
