Army Commander Lt. Gen. Shavendra Silva said the army officer who passed away in Dambulla yesterday was frequently struck with fits.

"Postmortem is being conducted, results will be revealed soon," the Army Chief said.

He also added 138 people were moved into quarantine centres today (from Rajagiriya, Kolonnawa, and Kolabissa).

The total number of those in 39 quarantine centres across the country is now 4, 883.
