Health authorities said 29 persons from Bandaranayakapura, Rajagiriya sent for quarantine centre at Kandakadu after one Covid-19 positive patient found in the area.

Colombo has been identified by health authorities as a high-risk area for COVID19.

Army Commander Lt. General Shavendra Silva said yesterday that close to 5000 people are currently under quarantine at facilities run by the military.

Sri Lanka has so far reported 751 confirmed COVID19 cases.
