Army Commander Lt. General Shavendra Silva said Akurana and Beruwala, which were earlier declared as isolated areas, have now been cleared by health authorities.

The two areas were isolated due to a sudden outbreak of COVID19 cases within clusters.

The decision has been made, as the situation in the two areas had improved significantly.

However, the curfew imposed on high-risk districts will continue until May 11.
