Prime Minister's Media Head Wijayananda Herath said former Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa has been duly informed of the meeting convened by the Prime Minister for all MPs in the dissolved Parliament.

A Sinhala newspaper, quoting Premadasa, reported today that the former Opposition Leader had not been invited for the meeting.

Herath, in a statement, said Premadasa was contacted via telephone by a staff member at the Prime Minister's Office and was duly informed of the meeting.

He also added that the meeting was then re-confirmed via SMS.

Therefore, Herath said, the report about Premadasa not being informed about the meeting was false.
