The Police have discovered a training facility used by National Thowheed Jamaath (NTJ) militants in Nuwara Eliya before they carried out the Easter Sunday explosions last month.
The facility was raided today following information provided by a 24-year-old suspect who is currently in custody over his involvement in terrorist activities.
The Police believe that the suspect has assisted National Thowheed Jamaath leader Zaharan Hashim in producing bombs.
it is revealed that Zahran hs conducted training programmes and classes for Thowheed Jamaath militants within the facility.
The suspect who is currently in custody had told Police that over 35 people attended Zaharan's training programmes.
Security forces have also recovered three maps of Nuwara Eliya from the training facility.
