President Maithtipala Sirisena said the interim report of the Presidential committee probing the Easter Sunday explosions was handed over to him yesterday.
Addressing a May Day event organized by the SLFP, Sirisena said he would discuss with the Attorney General tomorrow about his future course of action.
The three-member committee probing the security lapses which led to the Easter Sunday explosions is headed by Supreme Court Justice Vijith Malalgoda.
Sirisena said the country would be freed from the clutches of terrorism at any cost.
Meanwhile, the President's Media Division had stated last night that former Defence Minister Secretary Hemasiri Fernando and "outgoing IGP" Pujitha Jayasundara had given statements to the Presidential Committee.
