The Army and the Police found a massive haul of explosives when they raided a safe house in Samanthurai, Ampara, the Police Media Spokesman said. 

The security forces recovered flags and clothing linked to the Islamic State, 150 gelignite sticks, 100000 iron balls, suicide vests and drones, he added. 

This is the largest haul of explosives recovered by Sri Lankan security forces since the Easter Sunday explosions on April 21. 

Police have arrested seven suspects in the raid.
