Sri Lankan fast bowler Lasith Malinga has dispelled rumors that he will step down from international cricket before the ICC World Cup. 

Speaking to the media, Malinga said he had not yet made any decision to step down from international cricket.

Multiple reports indicated that Malinga would step down from the team, as he was removed from captaincy by the selections committee. 

Sri Lanka's regular Test captain Dimuth Karunaratne has been given the task of leading the team for the world cup.

Malinga is currently in India playing for IPL representing the franchise Mumbai Indians
