The Finance Ministry announced that fuel pricing formula will not be implemented this month due to the festive season

“Prices should be increased considering international oil prices but the Government has taken a decision not to implement it this month,”  Finance Ministry said in a statement this evening. 

Informed government sources added that the government decided to defer the implementation of the fuel price formula this month as a relief measure for the public. 

According to the fuel price formula introduced by the Finance Ministry last year, fuel prices are revised on the 10th day of every month. 

The next fuel price revision will come into effect on the 10th of May, government sources said.
