Prime Minister of Sri Lanka Ranil Wickremesinghe will be offering prayers to Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala during his two-day visit to the temple city scheduled on March 2 and 3, Indian media reported.
The Sri Lankan Prime Minister's visit to Thirumala comes ahead of the national budget for 2019, which will be presented to Parliament on Monday by Finance Minister Mangala Samaraweera.
In connection with the visit of the Sri Lankan PM, sub-collector Mahesh Kumar along with SP K.K.N. Anbur-ajan inspected the arrangements being made at the airport on Thursday, they also added.
The PM will arrive at the Chennai international airport on March 2 at about 3 pm and from there, the PM would reach Tirupati in a special flight by 4.30 pm.
The PM along with his family members will reach Sri Padm-avathi guest house at Tirumala by road and stay there overnight.
On March 3, Ranil Wickremesinghe along with his family members will offer prayers at Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala and would fly back from the Tirupati airport at 1.15 pm the same day. (With inputs from Deccan Chronicle)
