A young Sri Lankan woman used her car Dash Cam to record a man publicly exhibiting himself and scared him off.

The young woman said she had been waiting for her mother in the Arpico Supercentre Negombo car park when she noticed a man skulking around.

“I didn’t think much of it. It’s Arpico after all. Who would dare do anything there?,” she wrote in a Facebook post.

“I was wrong. When the car next to me pulled away, this guy parked his three-wheeler right next to me. I was looking at my phone but could see from the corner of my eye that he had begun to, well you can guess what, from the video. I thought at first, maybe if I ignore it, he will go away. But then, why should we women have to put up with this behavior ALL THE TIME? I quickly grabbed the Dash Cam and started filming him,” she said.

She wrote that the three-wheel driver had panicked when he saw the Dash Camera and had quickly pulled out of the parking lot – but not before she had caught his license plate number on camera.

The young woman concerned had promptly lodged a complaint with the Negombo Police who had promised to trace the driver and charge him with sexual harassment.
