Police have found that Ven. Arambepola Rathsnasara Thera carried two National Identity Cards (NICs) on him.

The two NICs were found after Ven. Arambepola Rathsnasara Thera was arrested this morning in Nittambuwa.

A special police team arrested the Ven. Arambepola Rathsnasara Thera while he was travelling in a bus this morning.

The Ven. Arambepola Rathsnasara Thera was wanted for behaving in an aggressive manner to Rohingya refugees on September 26.

Further investigations are underway to ascertain how the monk obtained two National Identity Cards.
