Police this morning arrested Ven. Arambepola Rathsnasara Thera, wanted for the aggression against Rohingya refugees last month, in Nittambuwa.

The Thera was part of a group that pelted stones at the safe house in Mount Lavinia where the Rohingya refugees were being sheltered.

Arambepola Rathsnasara Thera joins Akmeemana Dayarathana Thera who was arrested last month and released on bail on October 10.

Six other persons, including a woman have been arrested over the incident that took place on September 26.
