Former Perpetual Treasuries Director Arjun Aloysius’s Personal Secretary Steve Samuel appeared before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry today.

He was notified to appear before the Presidential Commission yesterday after he failed to show up at the last time he was noticed to appear - on October 11, citing a cardiac arrest. 

Arjun Aloysius is currently being investigated into his role in alleged insider trading that saw a company previously owned by him make unprecedented profits while his father-in-law Arjuna Mahendran was Central Bank Governor.

The Presidential Commission of Inquiry – established on January 27, 2017 – began its hearings on February 6 2017.
