The inauguration ceremony of the 15th Annual Conference of the Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka (AAT Sri Lanka) was held under the patronage of President Maithripala Sirisena at the Waters Edge Hotel, Battaramulla on Tuesday.
The 15th Annual Conference of AAT Sri Lanka was commenced under the theme “Change; Challenge to an Opportunity”.
This conference will offer the knowledge required to sharpen technical skills, and helps keep you on top of the state-of-the-art industry changes and develops soft skills. It will also provide the most exciting networking experience with the like-minded professionals and experts in the industry.
At the inaugural session of the Conference, the President presented a gift to the All Island 3rd place winner of 2016 G.C.E. (A/L) examination in the commerce stream, Nipuni Dhananjani Rupasinghe from Hingurakgoda.
The company sponsors were also presented with awards at this occasion.
President of AAT Sri Lanka, J. M. U. B. Jayasekara presented a souvenir to the President.
Minister Susil Premajayantha, Deputy Minister Dr. Harsha de Silva and State Minister Lakshman Senevirathne were among those who joined this meeting.
Meanwhile, President Sirisena headed a special intellectual discussion on the policies and plans of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Research. The discussion was held yesterday (Oct. 10) at Waters Edge Hotel, Battaramulla.
During the discussion the President emphasized the importance of the contribution of intellectuals in future economic and development plans. He said the time is up to raise their voices to build a better future.
