Ministers Malik Samarawickrama and Kabir Hashim gave a statement to the Presidential Commission into the Bond Issue and left the premises in less than 10 minutes, this morning.
Hashim was questioned about the financial requirements the government had during the time the controversial treasury bonds auction took place.
The Minister said the government needed around Rs. 18 billion to finance road construction projects.
Samarawickrama was questioned about a meeting he attended along with Hashim and former Finance Minister Ravi Karunanayake.
Informed sources they might be summoned again for further questioning.
