The drafting process of the proposed new constitution will start early next year, informed government sources said. 

A highly placed government spokesman said plans were afoot to draft and pass the new constitution in Parliament before the end of next year (2018)

The drafting process will follow the final report of the Steering Committee of the Constitutional Assembly. 

The Steering Committee will start preparing the final report on constitutional amendments after the scheduled Parliamentary debate on the interim report. 

The debate on the interim report is expected to held on October 30, 31 and November 01.
