Arjuna Mahendran Before The Bond Commission: Questioned On Controversial Auctions Of 2015, 2016

Former Governor of the Central Bank Arjuna Mahendran appeared before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) investigating the Treasury bond issue to make a statement relating to the bond auctions of February 27, 2015 and 29, 31 March 2016.

This is the second round of questioning the former Central Bank Governor is facing, having being summoned before the Bond Commission for the first time on September 19.

On that occasion, the Bond Commission questioned him for several days on the bond auctions of February 27, 2015 and 29, 31 March 2016.

Mahendran is alleged to have leaked sensitive information to his son-in-law Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL) former Director Arjun Aloysius, which resulted in PTL making unprecedented gains.
