Cooperative Wholesale Establishments (CWE), ‘ Sathosa Chairman T.M.K.B. Tennakoon announced today that the prices of eight varieties of rice and the price of sprats would be reduced from midnight tonight.

The announcement comes in the wake of a directive by President Maithripala Sirisena to Industry and Commerce Minister Rishard Bathuideen to reduce the price of essential items to alleviate the burden on the people.
