The Parliamentary Elections (Amendment) Act and Provincial Councils (Amendment) Act will not be disadvantageous to any community, Local Government and Provincial Councils Minister Faiszer Musthapha said.

Addressing a meeting of the Heads of Muslim media organizations he said the Parliamentary Elections (Amendment) Act and Provincial Councils (Amendment) Act would bring a halt to the “ugly political culture that is prevalent today”.

“In fact these acts will encourage clean, intelligent and upright persons who are answerable to the electorate to enter into politics,’ the Local Government and Provincial Councils Minister told the attending Heads of Muslim media organizations.
