Employees of the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) have been told that all leave and holidays have been cancelled with immediate effect until September 20.
The move comes on the heels of a strike to be launched today by several trade unions attached to the CEB.
The CEB said they had decided to cancel leave and holidays of all employees due to service requirements.
The CEB employees are protesting against salary anomalies and are asking that the government rectify the situation.
