GMOA To Launch 4-Day Strike Tomorrow: Allege Government Failure To Resolve SAITM Issue

The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) has said they will launch a four-day strike against the government’s failure to resolve the issue relating to the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine (SAITM).

GMOA Secretary Dr. Haritha Alutge told reporters the strike will begin at 8. 30 a.m. tomorrow and end on the evening of September 15.

The Anti-SAITM People’s Barricade is also to join the GMOA in their islandwide strike tomorrow.

GMOA and the Anti-SAITM People’s Barricade are asking that the government closes down the South Asian Institute of Technology and Medicine.
