Former Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL) Director Arjun Aloysius, who was questioned for five days in a row regarding his dealings with PTL and the Central Bank, was ordered to appear before the Bond Commission again on Wednesday.

On Thursday (7) last week, Aloysius appeared before the Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) investigating the Treasury bond issue for the first time, to make a statement into his involvement in sharing sensitive information with PTL.

During sessions on Wednesday (6) it was discovered that Arjun Aloysius had relayed sensitive, inside information with PTL CEO Kasun Palisena, which phone recordings were subsequently deleted.

The Attorney General’s Department, in appearing for the state, retrieved the deleted call recordings that indicated the connections between former PTL Director Arjun Aloysius and PTL CEP Kasun Palisena.

Aloysius is suspect to have divulged sensitive, inside information regarding the Central Bank Treasury bond auction while his father-in-law Arjuna Mahendran was Governor of the Central Bank.
