A film and teledrama actress has disclosed her alleged relationship with SLFP General Secretary and Agriculture Minister Duminda Dissanayake.
Actress Madusha Ramasinghe, a vocal supporter of President Maithripala Sirisena before the last Parliamentary election, announced, in a Facebook post, that she was in a relationship with the SLFP General Secretary.
The actress, however, later switched her allegiance and later became a supporter of former President Mahinda Rajapaksa's camp.
She said, in the same Facebook post, that the political differences between the two did not affect her feelings for her.
The actress described her relationship with the politician as "pristine and intimate".
She said Dissanayake was being unfairly attacked over the building, which his ministry rented for a staggering monthly rate, from film actress Sabeetha Perera.
Ramasinghe reiterated that Dissanayake had no reason to steal public money and she would not hesitate to endorse his integrity as a politician.
Dissanayake, a close ally of President Sirisena, is yet to respond to Ramasinghe's controversial statement.
