Former Development Lotteries Board (DLB) Chairman Sarana Gunawardena has been transferred to the Prison Hospital.
Gunawardene is being held on charges he misused state property during his tenure as Chairman of the DLB.
He was arrested by the Colombo Crimes Division on Monday (4) and ordered held until September 18.
He joins former President’s Secretary Lalith Weeratunga and former Telecommunications Regulatory Commission (TRC) Director General Anusha Palpita who were moved to the prison hospital today after being sentenced to 3 years RI yesterday.
