Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) Leader Rauff Hakeem has appointed former Mayor of Kalmunai Municipal Council President Counsel Nizam Kariyapper as Secretary to the party. 

He replaces Mansoor A. Cader who was appointed Secretary at the last Delegates Conference. 

The SLMC said a letter has been officially sent to the Election Commissioner naming Nizam Kariyapper as the Secretary to the party.

Kariyapper was formerly the Deputy Secretary of the party.
