The Presidential Commission of Inquiry (PCoI) investigating the Treasury bond scam this morning issued orders on former Perpetual Treasuries Limited (PTL) Director Arjun Aloysius to appear before the Commission.
Aloysius has been summoned to make a statement regarding evidence that has uncovered his complicity in communicating sensitive information to PTL CEO Kasun Palisena about the Central Band bond auction in 2015.
The PCoI informed Aloysius’ lawyers to convey their order to appear before the Commission to him.
Meanwhile, when the Criminal Investigations Division (CID) of the Police visited Arjun Aloysius’ home in Colombo this morning, they were told that Aloysius was ‘not at home’.
Steps have been taken to trace two passports belonging to Aloysius to ensure that he doesn’t leave the country while investigations are pending.
