President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe will launch 'Vision 2025', an economic policy statement, today. 

The policy statement will come under the theme 'a country enriched' and will contain a roadmap for Sri Lanka's economy for the next eight years. 

Government sources said it would also highlight legislative frameworks that require amendments and reforms for a better performing economy.

the policy statement is a strong indication that the current understanding between the two main political parties will continue despite the national elections in 2020.
