The Elections Commission has notified the public to contact their area Grama Niladhari or the Elections Commission before the 6th of September, if their names are not found in the 2017 electoral register.

He also said that Sri Lankan citizens living abroad could ensure their names are carried in the 2017 electoral register, on or before September 6.

Elections Commissioner Mahinda Deshapriya said the Elections Commission had noted a significant decline in voter registration from the Colombo district in the 2017 elections register, when compared to the years before.
