Cutouts and posters of President Maithripala Sirisena are displayed all over Colombo in lieu of the upcoming 66th anniversary celebrations of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP).

The posters and cutouts have been put up by politicians of the SLFP, wishing the incumbent president their very best.

However President Sirisena promised in the run-up to the Presidential elections in 2015 that he would not indulge in posters and cutouts as his predecessor had.

Former President Mahinda Rajapaksa came under criticism for having posters and cutouts of himself displayed all over the island in the run-up to any election or event.
