A number of leaflets, purportedly by the Liberations Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE), have been handed out to areas in Vavuniya, the Asian Mirror learns.

According to information, the handbills that are signed off by the ‘LTTE Intelligence Wing’, warn Tamil women not to enter into relationships with Sinhalese men.

The leaflet warns that Tamil women are being watched and will face punitive action if they continue with their ‘wrongdoing’.

A number of these handbills were found by members of the Vavuniya Security Forces.

Vavuniya Security Forces are conducting investigations.
