President Maithripala Sirisena appointed Anuradha Sampath Hewage as the Sri Lanka Freedom Party’s (SLFP) Organizer for the Polgahawela electorate in the Kurunegala District.

He received his appointment letter from the President at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday (28).

Hewage replaces former Minister Jayaratne Herath who was removed from his post as SLFP organiser for the Polgahawela electorate yesterday.

Herath was removed after he publicly joined the Sri Lanka Podu Jana Peramuna that is formed by the Joint Opposition (JO).
