Test Captain Dinesh Chandimal has been ruled out of the rest of the series against India due to a hairline fracture to his right thumb.

The injury was sustained at yesterday’s 3rd ODI against India, when a ball by Hardik Pandya caught him on the glove.

Chandimal, who was on 25 at the time played on till 36, when he was bowled out by Pandya, caught by Bumrah.

Sri Lanka Cricket has not yet announced a replacement for Chandimal.

Meanwhile, Upul Tharanga and Danushka Gunatilleke have been ruled out of the next ODI against India.
