International Cricket Council Impose Two-Match Ban On Sri Lanka Captain Upul Tharanga: Meeting Underway To Select New Captain

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has imposed a two-match ban on Sri Lanka One Day International (ODI) captain Upul Tharanga for a slow over rate.

This is the second time Tharanga has been suspended for the same offence.

In June this year, the ICC imposed a two-match ban on stand-in captain Tharanga for being behind schedule during a match against South Africa at the Oval.

Meanwhile, a meeting is underway at Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to select a stand-in captain to play against India at the 3rd ODI against India on Sunday.
